Zakka Along 2.0 Patchwork Please/Triangle Patchwork Box Pouch and Giveaway's Galore!!!...

Good morning cute people!!
Today is my day for the

This is my friend Ayumi's new book...
Patchwork, Please!

Let me just tell you,
everything in this book is sweet and adorable...
just like she is!
I'm not even kidding.

I love every single project in here...
you all know how I love patchwork and
Ayumi's work is no less than spectacular:)

Quite a while ago...
Ayumi told me that she was working on a book and
asked me if I would participate in the sew along.
I literally could not wait for it to come out and
to get my hands on it and make something fun.
I told her I would be thrilled!

Lindsay asked me to make the
"Triangle Patchwork Box Pouch"
on page 108
as part of Zakka Along 2.0
and I jumped at the chance!

I mean who doesn't love a sweet little patchwork bag?

I decided to make two because
 why not???
It's just as easy to make two at a time:)
I used fabric from my scrappy
stash baskets that I posted about here.

Each step was fun and
 Ayumi's instructions are great!

Above are both panels and bottom sections
all quilted and ready to sew.

The back of the quilted panels...
and also my chosen lining fabric.

The beginnings of one of the top sections...

and I continued until...

All finished!

These were so much scrappy happy fun to make!
Thanks Ayumi...
for such a wonderful project...
and of course a wonderful book:)

This is one I'm itching to make, but school has tarted and free time is scarce. Love them though.

Wow, this is just such a unique project. with your patchwork, these bags are really a fun way to show your personality. I am not a quilter, but I want to try someday. Hopefully in the next year I will. I only started sewing a few months ago and so I know I have a bit more learning to do before I dive into quilting. I will definitely want to use your friend's book someday.

Lori that is the cutest bag. I wish I had made these prior to a spur of the moment trip to Utah. It would have been so much better than running around the house looking for something to put toiletries in. haha I can hardly wait to get her book and make some.
